Yoga for Your Nervous System
We teach you to listen to your nervous system, not control it.
Our Approach to Therapeutic Yoga
Copper Fox & Clover PLLC offers therapeutic yoga in individual & group sessions online or at our beautiful micro-studio. The micro-studio is a safe, intimate space for small groups (6-8 participants) to gather and connect.
Therapeutic Yoga is a gentle, choice-based approach to mindful breath and postures to support clients experiencing stress, depression, anxiety & trauma. Unlike traditional yoga classes that may focus on performance or physical alignment, this trauma informed practice prioritizes safety, empowerment and nervous system regulation. This is a non-coercive practice that emphasizes choice, boundaries and adaptive postures for all bodies.
I love introducing clients to Yin style yoga practices. Yin style postures are typically slow, seated and floor-based using props and blankets; paired with breath. The series of postures are calm, predictable and offer clear explanations & slow transitions.

Grounded in Neuroscience, Rooted in Compassion
Our approach integrates DBT skills, Polyvagal Theory, and trauma-informed principles into every session. The result is a practice that calms your nervous system, builds emotional regulation, and honors your lived experience.
DBT Skills Integration
Mindfulness and emotion regulation skills are integrated into practice, making concepts tangible through experience.

Polyvagal Theory Foundation
We teach nervous system science in accessible language, helping you understand your body's responses to safety, threat, and connection.

Nervous System Regulation
Slow, grounded postures paired with breath work help shift your autonomic state from dysregulation to calm, sustainable presence.

Non-Coercive Practice
You choose your postures, props, and pace. We adapt to your body — never the other way around. Boundaries are honored, always.

I wouldn't hesitate to refer clients to her or consult with her professionally.
Kate Littlefield, LCMHC Founder & Clinician at Through to THRIVEWorking with Amy was delightful! From support in getting my private practice off the ground, to on-going supervision throughout the licensure process, Amy carries a wealth of institutional knowledge that makes a very challenging process feel less isolating. With her background in residential work, Amy shows expertise in a wide range of clientele, and bolsters her supervision with her deep connections in the Vermont therapeutic landscape. She ensures you glean all the perspective you need to ensure best practice either from her or through referrals to her trusted colleagues. I highly recommend Amy for her therapeutic work and her supervisory support.

Kelsey Jenkins TherapistI've had the privilege of collaborating with Amy Poland for more than 25 years, and she continues to inspire me both personally and professionally. She brings such warmth, authenticity, and compassion to her work—qualities that immediately put people at ease and create a sense of genuine connection. Her trauma-informed, child-centered approach reflects a deep understanding of the healing process and I've seen time and again how she meets clients exactly where they are—with patience, creativity, and respect. She skillfully weaves in alternative healing modalities, offering thoughtful, holistic ways to support growth and resilience. What I appreciate most about Amy is her empathic and collaborative spirit. She listens deeply, values every perspective, and works with others in ways that truly uplift and empower. After all these years, I continue to feel honored and grateful to call her both a trusted colleague and a friend.

Absolutely not. Our groups are designed for all experience levels, including complete beginners. We adapt every practice to your body and comfort level.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows gentle movement. For in-person sessions, we provide all props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps). Just bring yourself, water, and an open mind. For virtual sessions, you'll receive a simple props list — most items can be substituted with household objects like pillows and books.
It's a therapeutic yoga group — a body-based healing practice informed by clinical expertise. While it's not individual therapy, it integrates evidence-based therapeutic principles like DBT skills and Polyvagal Theory into each session.
